Playful Pomanders

Paper pomander balls are a recent trend in weddings. I have found them in many wedding blogs and magazines. I absolutely love them and think they would add fun and color to any wedding! Especially for those on a tight budget. Forget the real flowers and go with tissue paper! In my opinion they are almost better looking than the real thing.

The ones above came from Style Me Pretty & bashplease.com. The colors are so fun!

Something interesting... Through further research I found that they are often called kissing balls! Cute and perfect name for a wedding. Maybe it's kinda like mistletoe?? :)

There are so many tutorials out there for making tissue paper pomanders. When I start to make mine for my wedding (assuming I will) I will let you know which one helped me the best!

Here are a few that look promising....

I thought these tutorials below seemed helpful too.

These are neat too! They are roses made from crepe paper. You can find the tutorial at the House of Smith's.

There are also alternatives to tissue paper. If you really want to get creative take a look at these!
I found these really cool paper flowers on The Sweetest Occasion from Weather Paperworks. I love how the color is incorporated in with the black and white newspaper.

And then there are these that I found on Once Wed. They used a flower shaped punch and round head pins. Super cute!

J.Crew Bridesmaid Dresses

I have been doing a little bit of research lately online looking for some cute bridesmaid dresses. I really like what I have found so far on jcrew.com.

I definitely would like my girls to wear short dresses especially since it is a spring wedding and turquoise seems like the color for me!

Here are a couple I found that I loved! What do you think?? Any other suggestions for where I can find other cute bridesmaid dresses?

Ps. For any dress they end up wearing I want to get some DIY action going. Maybe a pretty rosette for their hair or on the the corner of their waist or both. :)
